There are currently 4 trustees. They are Hamish Hamill
(chairman), Meg Langton, Sir Graham Meldrum and Fred
Shaw. The Hon Treasurer is Cath Reynolds of CLG and the Secretary is
Ken Rose.
The purpose of the Trust is to promote and assist:
Research into methods of extinguishing fires and of protecting life and property from fire.
Training of fire brigade personnel.
Standardisation and improvement of equipment used by fire services.
Efficiency and effectiveness of the UK fire services as a whole.
All decisions of the Trust are subject to confirmation by the Secretary of State and the Scottish Government.
